Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Christian's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Cornerstone Christian had won six straight games and Benjamin Lukacs did his part to make it seven on Thursday. Everything went the Cornerstone Christian Cougars' way against the Bentley Phoenix as the Cornerstone Christian Cougars made off with a 63-42 victory thanks in part to Lukacs, who posted 20 points and five steals. The game was his fifth in a row with at least ten points.

Cornerstone Christian's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Bentley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Christian will head out to face off against Head-Royce at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Cornerstone Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Head-Royce likes a good challenge. As for Bentley, they will face off against Athenian at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Athenian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.
