Softball Recap: Wellston Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Wellston's offense. They came up short against the Wheelersburg Pirates on Saturday, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Rockets in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost four in a row.

Wellston saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abrielle Weese, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Wellston's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Wheelersburg, their victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-5.

As of now, neither Wellston nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
