Softball Recap: Frankford Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

The matchup between Frankford and Parkway West on Wednesday hardly resembled the 0-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Pioneers put the hurt on the HOYAS with a sharp 17-5 win. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by 11 runs or more this season.

Frankford pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Parkway West, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Frankford is set to challenge their familiar foe Mastery Charter North - Pickett at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Parkway West will face off against rival High School of the Future at 3:15 p.m. on May 2.
