Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Liberty's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

Liberty won the last time they faced Tarkington and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Longhorns.

Logan Ross looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Cade Carter was excellent, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.

Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tarkington, they dropped their record down to 6-16-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Liberty will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Longhorns: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
