Basketball Recap: Desert Ridge Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Desert Ridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Marana Tigers 51-25. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Desert Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Blair, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 16 points and five rebounds. Blair is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Trinity Smith was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Desert Ridge pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Desert Ridge has already played their next match, a 48-10 victory against Camelback on the 5th. As for Marana, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-46 defeat against Buena on the 5th.
