Football Recap: Willows Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Willows fell victim to Orland and their airtight defense on Friday. They were beaten by the Trojans 47-0. While losing is never fun, the Honkers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 976th, while the Trojans are ranked 303rd).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Orland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miguel Esquivel, who rushed for 11 yards and one score, and also caught one touchdown. Another rusher making a difference was Gabe Hernandez, who rushed for 51 yards and one TD.

Willows' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Orland, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Willows will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Nicolaus at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th. As for Orland, they will take on Shasta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
