Softball Recap: Auburn Tigers vs. Beauregard Hornets

Beauregard typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Auburn proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Beauregard Hornets. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now won nine in a row.

Lily Brewer looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single walk, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Laina Rae Sawyer was incredible, scoring two runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Daley Alsobrook, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Auburn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
