Golden Valley took down Atwater on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Isaiah Welch's effort. Welch rushed for 74 yards and two scores, which was good enough to set a new career-high in rushing touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Welch and Golden Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Los Banos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will pit Welch up against the Tigers' star RB John Snapp. With these two excellent players competing for bragging rights, there's bound to be some exciting action on the field.
