Basketball Recap: Rockford Takes a Loss

Rockford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 85-32 loss at the hands of the Dunkerton Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Raiders are ranked 85th).

Rockford's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Dunkerton, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rockford has already played their next matchup (against Janesville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dunkerton will be playing at home against East Buchanan at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Dunkerton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully East Buchanan likes a good challenge.
