Basketball Recap: Quad Cities Christian Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Quad Cities Christian had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Tanner Garant did his part to make it six on Friday. The Quad Cities Christian Eagles breezed by the East Moline Christian Eagles to the tune of 72-25 thanks in part to Garant, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 16 points and five steals. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Gaudreau, who posted four points and six rebounds. What's more, he also racked up two assists, the most he's had since back in February.

Quad Cities Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for East Moline Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Quad Cities Christian and Calvary Christian Academy will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for East Moline Christian, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the East Moline Christian Eagles face off against the Faith Christian Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Faith Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.9 points per game this season.
