Volleyball Recap: Santa Monica Finds Playoff Glory Versus University

Santa Monica had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the University Trojans 3-0 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won four games in a row.

While Santa Monica won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19, 25-21.

Santa Monica pushed their record up to 22-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for University, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-12 record this season.

Santa Monica will challenge Warren at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. University does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
