Volleyball Recap: Redlands East Valley Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Redlands East Valley came into Saturday's matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Norco Cougars by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Orion Nunez paced Redlands East Valley's offense, picking up nine kills. Nunez got some help from Giovanni Carissimi and his 18 assists. Mark Huynh controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Redlands East Valley's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Norco, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Redlands East Valley and Norco will both be playing Vista del Lago the next time they take the court. Norco will head out to face Vista del Lago at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Redlands East Valley will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
