Softball Game Preview: Mayfield Wildcats vs. Riverside Beavers

Mayfield is 0-10 against Riverside since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Beavers at 5:00 p.m. Mayfield has given up an average of 8.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mayfield is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Solon on Monday. They lost 13-1 to the Comets.

Meanwhile, Riverside faced Aurora in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Beavers fell just short of the Greenmen by a score of 9-8. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Mayfield, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
