Football Recap: Entiat Comes Up Short

Entiat played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the DeSales Irish and fell 52-18. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-6.

Cohen Wood had an outrageously good game for DeSales as he threw for 276 yards and six touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 93 yards on only eight carries. What's more, Wood racked up 160.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. DeSales' leading receiver Malachi Raymond was Wood's top target yet again, picking up 138 receiving yards and three scores.

Entiat's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for DeSales, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Entiat will head out to challenge Mabton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. After each having a week off, DeSales and Yakama Nation Tribal will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The contest will give the Irish their first taste of in-conference action this season.
