Baseball Recap: Ashville Comes Up Short

Ashville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southeastern Mustangs. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Ashville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Southeastern, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ashville beat Southeastern by a score of 12-5 later that day.
