Volleyball Recap: Greeneview Rams vs. Mechanicsburg Indians

Greeneview was the 3-0 winner over Mechanicsburg when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rams fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Rams didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 25-13 in the first set.

Greeneview actually scored more points across those five sets (106-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 18-25, 25-23, 26-24, 15-9.

Lilly Reichley paced Greeneview's offense, picking up 25 kills. Reichley got some help from Emma Ryan and her 25 assists. Reichley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Leading Mechanicsburg to victory were Kenzie Stillings and Birdie Wilhelm. Stillings had 23 digs and two assists, while Wilhelm had 18 digs. Those 18 digs gave Wilhelm a new career-high.

Greeneview has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for Mechanicsburg, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 7-11.
