On Tuesday, Boulder Creek faced O'Connor in a battle between two of the state's top teams. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Boulder Creek Jaguars made off with a 62-61 win over the O'Connor Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 76-55 back in January.

Boulder Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Matthew Delgado led the charge by going 5 of 12 on his way to 17 points and seven boards. The dominant performance also gave Delgado a new career-high in blocks (two). Andrew Bhesania was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks.

Boulder Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.6 points over those games. As for O'Connor, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.

Coincidentally, Boulder Creek and O'Connor will both be playing Pinnacle the next time they take the court. Boulder Creek will host Pinnacle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while O'Connor will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
