With a playoff win on the line, Robert F. Kennedy Community rose to the challenge on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the CALS Early College Falcons 8-7. The win was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Aaron Arroyo made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Arroyo was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Sameer Sourav was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Vega, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Robert F. Kennedy Community's record is now 12-3. As for CALS Early College, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Looking ahead, Robert F. Kennedy Community will challenge University at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. CALS Early College does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
