Recap: Winters Mill Falcons vs. Westminster Owls
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South River, the Winters Mill Falcons were happy to have found some success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Westminster out 54-52. That's another feather in the cap for Winters Mill, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Owen Case, who scored 18 points along with six assists and five rebounds. Tommy Hinkhaus was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Winters Mill's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Westminster, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
Winters Mill will head out on the road to challenge Hammond at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westminster, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 73-63 win vs. Eastern Tech on the 12th.
