Football Recap: Franklin's Loss Ends 14-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Franklin and Columbus squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Franklin had to settle for second. They came up short against the Columbus Cardinals, falling 62-42. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (35), the Lions still had to take the loss.

Franklin's defeat ended a 14-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 10-3. As for Columbus, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

Franklin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbus, they will take on Edna at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edna will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Columbus surely won't give up without a fight.
