Softball Recap: Bishop Grimes' Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After soaring to 18 runs the game before, Bishop Grimes was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cato-Meridian Blue Devils, falling 10-1. The loss continues a trend for the Cobras in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost four in a row.

Bishop Grimes saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabby St James, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. Another was Myla Pankow, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop Grimes fell to 2-1. As for Cato-Meridian, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Grimes will host Tully at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cato-Meridian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Weedsport at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
