Football Game Preview: Bellows Falls Terriers vs. Lyndon Institute Vikings

Bellows Falls is 9-1 against Lyndon Institute since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Terriers will face off against the Vikings at 1:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Saturday.

Bellows Falls is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Fair Haven, who was ranked tenth at the time (Bellows Falls was ranked eighth). The Terriers blew past the Slaters 52-27 on Friday. Considering the Terriers have won four contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after only seven points in their last game, Lyndon Institute made sure to put some points up on the board against Mt. Mansfield on Saturday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 47-21 margin over the Cougars. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Vikings this season.

Bellows Falls pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points over those games. As for Lyndon Institute, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Bellows Falls and Lyndon Institute were almost perfectly matched up when the teams last played back in August of 2024, but Bellows Falls suffered an agonizing 21-20 loss. Can the Terriers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
