Football Game Preview: Riverdale Raiders vs. Lehigh Lightning

The Riverdale Raiders will square off against the Lehigh Lightning at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Riverdale 7.5, Lehigh 7.4) so any points scored will be well earned.

Riverdale is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 39-6 win over East Lee County. The Raiders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, while Lehigh put up some points on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Gateway. The Lightning came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 7-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lightning.

Riverdale's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Lehigh, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Everything came up roses for Riverdale against Lehigh in their previous matchup back in March, as the squad secured a 29-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
