Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Cheyenne Mountain

The Liberty Lancers will square off against the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Liberty's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Discovery Canyon. The win made it back-to-back victories for Liberty.

They hit Discovery Canyon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aj Parra, Isabelle Roberts, and Olivia Wilson.

Meanwhile, Cheyenne Mountain entered their tilt with Niwot on Saturday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Cougars. That's two games straight that Cheyenne Mountain have won by just one goal.

Abby Harper, who's played more minutes than anyone else on the Cheyenne Mountain squad sat out for Saturday's contest. With Harper sitting this one out, Maya Cervantes got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 56).

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 2-3-2. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-2-1.
