Baseball Game Preview: Bigelow Panthers vs. Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks

The Bigelow Panthers will face off against the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bigelow has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Bigelow faced off against Booneville on Monday. Bigelow came up short against Booneville, falling 13-3. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bigelow saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Easton Platt, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Mt. Vernon-Enola earned a 7-4 victory over Wonderview on Saturday.

Mt. Vernon-Enola's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Bigelow, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Everything went Bigelow's way against Mt. Vernon-Enola in their previous meeting back in April of 2021, as Bigelow made off with a 13-1 victory. Will Bigelow repeat their success, or does Mt. Vernon-Enola has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
