Baseball Recap: Rockport-Fulton Comes Up Short

Rockport-Fulton suffered their closest defeat since May 4, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Poth by a score of 5-3. Rockport-Fulton was not able to make up for their loss to Poth from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Sean Howell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Grubert, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

Rockport-Fulton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Poth, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Rockport-Fulton has already played their next contest (against Santa Gertrudis Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Poth, they will take on New Braunfels Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
