Softball Recap: Leo Lions vs. New Haven Bulldogs

Leo can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the New Haven Bulldogs a 16-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for Leo who now have six in a row.

Anna Woods made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Woods has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Woods was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and six RBI while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Leo got a massive performance out of Lillian Pierce, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with a home run, three runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madyn Mohr, who went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and a triple.
