Softball Game Preview: Choctawhatchee Indians vs. Arnold Marlins

The Choctawhatchee Indians will challenge the Arnold Marlins at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Choctawhatchee has given up an average of 9.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Choctawhatchee is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They lost 18-5 to West Florida. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Indians have suffered against the Jaguars since April 11, 2018.

Abigail Santos-Ruiz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-3. Reagan Meggs was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Arnold didn't have quite enough to beat North Bay Haven Academy on Friday and fell 7-5.

Jayden Reyes was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lily Cobb, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Arnold's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for Choctawhatchee, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
