Basketball Recap: Wright City Wildcats vs. Bowling Green Bobcats
Wright City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell to the Bowling Green Bobcats 47-43. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 48-32 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Bowling Green had a senior duo take command as Sydney Charlton almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards and Olivia Dawson posted 12 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Charlton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Schumacher, who put up six points.
Wright City's record is now 0-3. As for Bowling Green, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wright City and Valley Park will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest having both just played. As for Bowling Green, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Veritas Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
