Soccer Recap: Victor Valley Comes Up Short

Victor Valley was the 4-0 winner over Silverado when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Victor Valley Jackrabbits fell just short of the Silverado Hawks by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Jackrabbits couldn't quite close it out.

Victor Valley's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12-3. As for Silverado, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11-3 record this season.

Victor Valley and Silverado could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Victor Valley (ranked 919th) will meet Barstow (ranked 422nd) at 4:30 p.m. on January 29th. Meanwhile, Silverado will challenge Granite Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Friday down 698 places (761 vs. 63).
