Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Martinsburg Bulldogs. The Cougars have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14, 25-14.

Sarah Diaz paced Jefferson's offense, picking up five kills. Diaz got some help from Aven Thorn and her six assists.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 9-17-3. As for Martinsburg, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-7.

Jefferson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against South Hagerstown on the 23rd. As for Martinsburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Clear Spring on the 23rd.
