While Troy-Buchanan's victory against Howell Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans skirted past the Spartans 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Lance Stuckey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

On the hitting side, Jesse Wilmes was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Brady Eulinger, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Troy-Buchanan's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Howell Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy-Buchanan will host Lee's Summit at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Howell Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Howell North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
