Baseball Recap: Paulsboro Takes a Loss

Paulsboro extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-7. They came up short against the Haddon Heights Garnets, falling 11-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Raiders of the 22-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Haddon Heights, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

For Haddon Heights' part, Brady McFadden looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Haddon Heights got a big performance out of Jackson Butler, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Butler a new career-high. Kevin Clark was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paulsboro will challenge Gloucester City at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.43 runs per game on average), something the Red Raiders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Haddon Heights, they will take on Audubon at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Garnets will need to watch out since the Green Wave have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
