Soccer Recap: Walkertown Takes a Loss

Walkertown lost against Carver on October 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wolfpack lost 9-0 to the Yellowjackets. While losing is never fun, Walkertown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 506th, while Carver are ranked 201st).

Walkertown has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-1 record this season. As for Carver, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Walkertown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Carver, they will face off against Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carver will be up against Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.13 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
