Volleyball Game Preview: Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats vs. Design Tech Dragons

The Basis Independent Silicon Valley Bobcats will face off against the Design Tech Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 24, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over KIPP San Jose Collegiate. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-9, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Design Tech was able to grind out a solid victory over More on Tuesday, taking the game 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Dragons in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won nine in a row.

Design Tech had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-13, 25-16, 25-13.

The victory got Design Tech back to even at 7-7. As for Basis Independent Silicon Valley, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Basis Independent Silicon Valley beat Design Tech 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
