Volleyball Recap: Escondido Comes Up Short

Escondido lost against Mt. Carmel on April 4th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Cougars lost 3-0 to the Sundevils. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Escondido still got an impressive performance from Quinton Tam, who had 20 digs. Tam has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 11 times he's played.

Escondido's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Mt. Carmel, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-16.

Coming up, Escondido will square off against Rancho Bernardo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Carmel, they will take on Poway at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Sundevils are facing the Titans at the right time seeing as the Titans are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
