Softball Recap: Russellville Comes Up Short

Russellville managed to slip by Allen County-Scottsville the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers lost 16-1 to the Patriots on Thursday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Russellville has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-15 record this season. As for Allen County-Scottsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 19 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season.

Russellville will venture away from home to challenge Christian County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colonels will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. Allen County-Scottsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
