Basketball Recap: Springfield Gardens Takes a Loss

After flying high against Richmond Hill last Thursday, Springfield Gardens came back down to earth. The Springfield Gardens Golden Eagles took a 43-28 bruising from the Van Buren Vee Bees on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vee Bees earlier this season, when they won 40-32.

Springfield Gardens has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Van Buren, they moved to 2-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Springfield Gardens has already played their next game (against Metropolitan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Van Buren will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Far Rockaway at 4:30 p.m. on January 31st.
