Sandhills/Thedford and Mullen are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2019, but not for long. The Knights will square off against the Broncos at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sandhills/Thedford will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Sandhills/Thedford not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on Sutherland with a sharp 3-0 win.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sandhills/Thedford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Grace Johnston, who had 18 assists and three aces. Johnston is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Meanwhile, Mullen didn't have quite enough to beat Maxwell on Friday and fell 3-2.
Mullen couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Maxwell a tough time in the fourth set. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-11, 25-15, 29-31, 15-11.
Sandhills/Thedford's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Mullen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-6 record this season.
Everything went Sandhills/Thedford's way against Mullen in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Sandhills/Thedford made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
