Basketball Recap: Harding University Takes a Loss

Harding University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were dealt an 81-29 loss at the hands of the Mallard Creek Mavericks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mavericks this season, with their most recent defeat being a 75-23 loss two weeks ago.

Kiara Anderson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mallard Creek, dropping a double-double with 38 points and 13 steals. The dominant performance gave Anderson a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of My'Asia Young, who went 8-for-13 on her way to 19 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Harding University's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Mallard Creek, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

As of now, neither Harding University nor Mallard Creek have any future games scheduled.
