Volleyball Recap: Caney Valley Comes Up Short

Caney Valley was the 2-1 winner over Chaparral when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bullpups fell 2-0 to the Roadrunners on Monday. The Bullpups have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14.

Hannah Wyrick paced Caney Valley's offense, picking up three kills. Wyrick got some help from Emma Marshall and her seven assists. Finally, Molleigh Kaminska kept Caney Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Caney Valley's loss dropped their record down to 21-16. As for Chaparral, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-17.

Caney Valley has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Kingman on the 20th. As for Chaparral, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Halstead on the 20th.
