It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Trinity can now relate to. They took a 47-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lake Ridge Eagles on Friday. The Trojans' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

DeShawn Edwards continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lake Ridge, rushing for 165 yards and two TDs while picking up 10.3 yards per carry, and also throwing for 243 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Edwards has been hot, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Lake Ridge's leading receiver Jayden Evans was Edwards' top target yet again, picking up 145 receiving yards and two scores.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Lake Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Ridge, they will challenge Permian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests.
