Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chaminade). They had just enough and edged the Bishop Amat Lancers out 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted against the Lancers since November 3, 2017.

Niles Davis had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 176 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run. Cameron Pooley was another key player, throwing for 258 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Chaminade was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 231 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 117.8 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five matchups they've averaged 129.

Chaminade didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Logan Carpenter and Le'Roi Lewis.

The victory made it two in a row for Chaminade and bumps their season record up to 3-7. As for Bishop Amat, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
