Basketball Recap: Sumner Stingrays vs. Chamberlain Storm
Sumner blew Chamberlain out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Chamberlain got their revenge. The Stingrays fell just short of the Storm by a score of 69-66. The contest was a 27-27 toss-up at halftime, but the Stingrays couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the loss, Sumner still got an impressive performance from Karson Coleman, who shot 69% from the field to rack up 26 points and six boards. Coleman is on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 53% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Immanuel Kelly, who went 6-for-9 en route to 13 points along with eight assists and five rebounds.
Chamberlain can attribute much of their success to Corey Long, who posted 23 points. Those 23 points gave Long a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Devonte Spears, who scored 15 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Sumner and nudges their season record down to 13-8. As for Chamberlain, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-9.
Sumner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-63 loss against Armwood on the 23rd. As for Chamberlain, they have also already played their next matchup, a 58-54 win against Gaither on the 21st.
