Baseball Game Preview: Diamond Ranch Panthers vs. Pomona Red Devils

The Diamond Ranch Panthers will challenge the Pomona Red Devils at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Diamond Ranch's victory against Rowland wasn't quite the blowout they won the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Diamond Ranch sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Rowland on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won four in a row.

The team relied heavily on Isaiah Aparicio, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Keith Houdashelt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple.

Meanwhile, Pomona never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against Workman as Pomona made off with a 16-0 win.

Vince Huguez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Nicolas Montes was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivan Lopez, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Diamond Ranch now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pomona, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
