The San Tan Charter Roadrunners will venture away from home to face off against the North Valley Christian Academy Lions at 2:45 p.m. on Tuesday. San Tan Charter will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
While San Tan Charter's win against Chandler Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Roadrunners sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Titans on Thursday. The three-run effort marked the Roadrunners' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Dillon Wildrick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Richie Perez, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Tommy Crupi, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, while North Valley Christian Academy put up some runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Wickenburg. The Lions were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Wranglers. The win was nothing new for the Lions as they're now sitting on four straight.
Brayden Collins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because North Valley Christian Academy is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-12-1 otherwise. Collins was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, North Valley Christian Academy let Levi Corrigan and Duvuagn Pryce run wild. Corrigan scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Pryce scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Pryce has become a key player for North Valley Christian Academy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-12-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Bradley, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
San Tan Charter's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for North Valley Christian Academy, their record is now 6-12-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. San Tan Charter has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .522. However, it's not like North Valley Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .445. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance. Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
