Softball Recap: Evansville Central Comes Up Short

Evansville Central lost against Evansville Mater Dei back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears fell 6-1 to the Wildcats. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evansville Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danika Dix, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Dix is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Evansville Central now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Evansville Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-0 win against Mt. Vernon on the 23rd. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-6 loss against Apollo on the 23rd.
