Baseball Recap: Martin Comes Up Short

Martin blew Roma out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Roma got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Gladiators by a score of 5-3. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gladiators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Martin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Edgar Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

The defeat snapped Martin's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-6-1 record. As for Roma, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season.

While Martin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
