TAPPS Division II District 1 recap December 3, 2013

Midland Christian added to the longest winning streak in TAPPS Division II District 1 this week by beating Dallas Christian, 70-7. The victory was the 13th in a row for the Mustangs.

Midland Christian took down the Chargers 70-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Mason McClendon threw for 242 yards and 5 touchdowns in the win.

Midland Christian's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McClendon has thrown for 3,774 yards and 56 touchdowns this season, while Jarrod Koym has 56 catches for 1,254 yards.

In 151 carries Brad Horner has put up 912 yards this year.

Greg McClendon's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 305 from 418. The advance stemmed from a 70-7 victory over Dallas Christian last week.
