Volleyball Recap: Siren Dragons vs. Luck Cardinals
Siren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Luck Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 17-25, 25-17.
Luck was led to victory by Grace Olson and Sophie Eder. Olson had 17 digs, seven aces, and six kills, while Eder had 33 digs and one assist. The dominant performance also gave Olson a new career-high in assists (28).
Siren's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Luck, their victory ended a six-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-21.
Siren and Luck could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Dragons will take on Grantsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (411 vs. 87). Meanwhile, Luck (ranked 406th) will meet Prairie Farm (ranked 151st) at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
